Services
I offer the following high quality services as evidenced by the satisfaction of my clients (see below what they have to say).
Translations
I translate your documents from English into French (my mother tongue).
Review
I review your documents that have already been translated into French, checking against the original English text to verify that the French translation naturally conveys the meaning of the original text.
Proofreading
I proofread your documents written in French to identify any errors and check that the text reads well.

“I worked together with Marie-Agnès Schmitt for many years, who was one of our assigned translators for 20 years. Whatever the nature of the articles (economic press or academic journal) that we entrusted to her, the translations have always been of high quality. Marie-Agnès Schmitt is in my opinion a very great professional whose work is always of remarkable quality.”

Helpful tips to guide your translation decisions
If you have never called on the services of a professional translator, then the following tips will help you successfully navigate the process.Define and explain your needs
Does the document need to be translated in full or is a partial translation sufficient?
Will the translation be for internal or external use?
Is it intended for specialists or the general public?
Feel free to provide the context of your project and, if possible, provide documentation and a glossary so that I can use your in-house terminology where appropriate.Plan your translation request well in advance
Quality requires time.
It takes time to read the original text and convey its full meaning as well as addressing any questions about the text that might arise.Be prepared to answer any questions
Questions can and do come up during translation projects. It may be a simple request for clarification of a certain passage of the text, but there may also be typos or inconsistencies in figures or extra words in a sentence that need to be checked.
